Q: What is the installation procedure for the inflatable restraint front-end sensor?
A:
The procedure is to remove any dirt, grease, or other impurities from the mounting surface, point the arrow on the sensor toward the front of the vehicle, install the inflatable restraint front-end sensor, push the sensor towards the rear of the vehicle to seat the sensor in the keyhole slot in the lower radiator support, connect the inflatable restraint front end sensor electrical connector, install the connector position assurance to the electrical connector, remove the safety stands and lower the vehicle, and then enable the SIR system.

A:
You need to disable the SIR, raise the vehicle and support, remove the connector position assurance, disconnect the inflatable restraint front end sensor electrical connector, loosen the inflatable restraint front end sensor mounting nut, slide the inflatable restraint front end sensor towards the front of the vehicle, and then remove the sensor from the keyhole slot in the lower radiator support.
