2010 Chevrolet Express 3500 A/C Orifice Tube

The procedure is to install the expansion tube, new sealing washers to the evaporator tube, the evaporator hose to the evaporator, the evaporator hose retaining nut to the evaporator, evacuate and recharge the A/C system, and then leak test the fittings of the components.

You need to recover the refrigerant from the A/C system, remove the condenser tube from the condenser, measure 20 mm (0.75 in) from the bend on the condenser tube and 42 mm (1.65 in) from the mark on the condenser tube, cut the marked section of the condenser tube, remove the burrs from the condenser tube and the nuts, the ferrules, and the O-rings from the A/C refrigerant filter, push the proper size nuts and ferrules over each of the condenser tube halves, install the ferrules with the small end toward the nut and the A/C refrigerant filter to the condenser tube with the flow arrow pointing toward the evaporator, tighten the nuts to the A/C refrigerant filter, remove the nuts from the A/C refrigerant filter, install the O-rings to the condenser tube, the nuts to the A/C refrigerant filter and the condenser tube to the condenser, evacuate and recharge the A/C system, and then leak test the fittings of the component.

You need to recover the refrigerant from the A/C system and remove the evaporator hose retaining nut from the evaporator and the expansion tube.
