Q: How do I install the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) case?
A:
Start with placing the HVAC case in its correct spot, and then install the lower HVAC screws and tighten them to 1.8 Nm (15 lb in). Close the passenger compartment filter door and inspect the foam heater core seal. If damaged, replace. Attach the heater core to the HVAC module and install the heater core cover. Replace the drain tube seal and the front of the dash seal, place the HVAC module in the vehicle and fill the cooling system.

Start by removing the HVAC module from the vehicle. Then remove the heater core cover heat stakes and core cover, you will now be able to remove the heater core. Lastly remove the heat stakes attaching the HVAC case, open the passenger filter door and remove the case.

A:
Start with removing the body control module from the vehicle, then remove the front floor console left side extension panel, pull the carpet at the bottom of the left instrument panel, remove the center support bracket and the accelerator control pedal from the front of the dash, Raise the center floor outlet duct while pushing the floor ducts down to disengage the duct and rotate duct forward in the vehicle and pull down to disengage it from the HVAC module. Remove the stakes attaching the heater core cover and the stud from the dash panel at the heater hoses. Slide the heater core cover rearward until the drain tube clears the front of the dash. Slide the heater core cover down, rearward, and to the right to remove.
