FAQ for Brake Master Cylinder Repair
Q: How do I bleed the master cylinder bench?
A:
Start by securing the flange to the bench vise so you can access the primary piston, then remove the cylinder cap and diaphragm. Install suitable fittings and transparent hoses to the master cylinder ports, Fill the master cylinder reservoir to at least the halfway point. Be sure that the transparent hoses running into the master cylinder reservoir are fully submerged in the brake fluid. Continue to depress and release the primary piston until fluid flows freely from the ports with no evidence of air bubbles. Remove the transparent hoses. Install the master cylinder reservoir cap and diaphragm. Remove the fittings with the transparent hoses from the ports. Lastly, remove the master cylinder from the vise.

18/01/2022 Q: How do I fill the master cylinder reservoir?
A:
Look at the brake fluid level through the reservoir, if it is below the halfway point during fluid checks then the brake system should be inspected for leaks. If the brake system seems fine during inspection top off the brake fluid. If the brake fluid is above the halfway point then it is not recommended you top it off.
