Q: What is the camshaft position sensor installation position?
A:
First, install the new O-ring to the CMP sensor, install the CMP sensor to the engine front cover, and install the CMP sensor to the engine front cover retaining bolt and tighten to 9 Nm. Next, connect the CMP sensor electrical connector to the wiring harness, install the engine cover, and connect the battery ground cable to the battery.

19/10/2021Q: What is the camshaft position sensor removal procedure?
A:
First, disconnect the battery ground cable from the battery, remove the engine cover, disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector, and remove the CMP sensor to the engine front cover retaining bolt. Next, remove the CMP sensor from the engine front cover, remove the CMP sensor O-ring from the CMP sensor and discard the O-ring.

Lift/support the vehicle and disconnect the electrical connectors. Tighten the camshaft position sensor wire assembly fasteners to 12 Nm.
