Q: What should be done before replacing the power steering pump?
A:
You should place drain pans under the vehicle, remove as much power steering fluid from the power steering fluid reservoir as possible, the drive belt from the power steering pump pulley only, and the right front tire and wheel assembly. Then, you should disconnect the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose from the power steering pump and the power steering gear inlet hose from the power steering pump.

Q: How to replace the power steering fluid reservoir bracket (LF1)?
A:
You should remove the intake manifold cover and the Power Steering Reservoir from the bracket only. Otherwise, you should not remove the hoses.
Q: How to replace the power steering fluid cooler?
A:
First, you should place drain pans under the vehicle and remove as much power steering fluid from the reservoir as possible. Then, you should raise and support the vehicle, remove the front bumper fascia and loosen the hose clamps and disconnect the power steering fluid cooler inlet and outlet hoses. Finally, you should fill and bleed the power steering system and clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle.
