First, you should remove the front compartment front sight shield and the front compartment side sight shield. Then, you should disconnect the hood primary latch release cable from the primary hood latch. After that, you should attach mechanics wire to guide the old/new cable through. Finally, you should disconnect the hood primary latch release cable handle from the hood latch cable.

Q: How to replace the hood primary latch release cable handle?
A:
First, you should remove the left body hinge pillar trim panel. Then, you should press the release cable handle rearward to release the retainers from the instrument panel bracket. Finally, you should disconnect the hood release cable from the hood release handle.
