2010 Cadillac SRX Battery Cables

You should disconnect the negative battery cable, open the battery fuse block cover and remove the battery positive fuse block cable.

First, you should remove the battery fuse block/engine control module cover and disconnect the negative battery terminal. Then, you should remove the negative battery ground terminal, the auxiliary negative battery ground bolt, the engine block battery ground terminal and bolt, and the negative battery cable.

You should install the auxiliary battery positive cable nut to the fuse block, the auxiliary battery positive terminal nut to the back of the generator, and the auxiliary battery positive terminal nut to the starter solenoid and connect the negative battery cable.

You should remove the battery fuse block cover/engine control module, loosen the auxiliary negative battery post terminal nut, remove the auxiliary negative battery post clamp, the auxiliary negative battery ground bolt, the auxiliary negative battery terminal and bolt from the left front engine block, and the auxiliary negative battery cable.

You should reposition the ECM and the battery cover, disconnect the current sensor, remove the negative battery cable clamp, the left front radiator support ground terminal, the battery fuse block cover, and the battery positive nut from the battery fuse block and detach the retainer from the battery tray. Then, you should remove the secondary air injection pump, the battery positive terminal and nut from the starter solenoid, the battery negative engine block ground bolt, and the harness retainer bolt, slide the protective boot and remove the generator nut along with the battery positive terminal and the battery positive and negative cable from the vehicle.
