The proper way is to install the power steering gear outlet pipe to the steering gear, connect the power steering fluid cooler hose and hose clamp to the steering gear, clean any excess fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans, and then fill and bleed the power steering system.

A:
You should disconnect the power steering gear outlet hose from the power steering fluid cooler, pull the power steering gear outlet hose out of the steering gear, keep all open connections in the power steering system clean and free of debris, use the remover/installer J44586 to replace the steering gear seals, and then fill and bleed the power steering system.
