2010 Cadillac Escalade ESV A/C Hose

The procedure is to remove the upper radiator air baffle and deflector, remove the air cleaner assembly, remove the surge tank hold down nut and bolt and position aside, remove the evaporator tube nut from the evaporator, remove the evaporator tube nut from the auxiliary A/C tube, remove the evaporator tube nut from the condenser, and then remove the evaporator tube from the vehicle.

The procedure is to remove the discharge hose mounting bolt from the A/C compressor, remove the discharge hose from the A/C compressor, remove the upper radiator baffle, remove the discharge hose nut from the condenser, remove the discharge hose from the condenser, and then remove the discharge hose from the vehicle.

The proper way is to install the evaporator tube nut to the condenser and tighten it to 16 Nm (12 lb-ft), install the evaporator tube nut to the auxiliary A/C tube, install the evaporator tube to the evaporator, install the evaporator tube nut to the evaporator and tighten to 16 Nm (12 lb-ft), install the surge tank hold down nut and bolt and position aside, and then install the upper radiator air baffle and deflector.

You should recover the refrigerant.

The procedure is to recover the refrigerant, drain the coolant, raise and support the vehicle, scribe a mark on the line that will be sectioned, remove the section of line being replaced from the vehicle, install the replacement line to the vehicle, apply one drop of the J 41425-3 sealing compound to the outside of each line end, insert the line ends into the LOK fitting, rotate the LOK fitting one complete turn to evenly distribute the sealing compound around the lines, install the correct LOK fitting jaws into the J 41425-1 tool, install the J 41425-1 tool over the LOK connectors, loosen the forcing screw. Remove the tool from the repaired line, and then refill the coolant.
