2010 Cadillac CTS Instrument Cluster

The instrument panel compartment door latch has a total of 2 screws. Each screw needs to be tightened to 2.5 Nm.

Remove the instrument compartment assembly, and unsnap the instrument panel compartment door latch trim from the latch assembly.

The instrument panel center compartment has a total of 4 screws. Each screw needs to be tightened to 1 Nm.

First, place the instrument panel compartment latch fork bolt in the up position, grab the instrument panel compartment lock cylinder and insert the key. Next insert the instrument panel compartment lock cylinder, rotate the key counterclockwise until the key stop, and remove the key. After that, install the instrument panel compartment door latch trim cover, and install the instrument panel compartment latch.

First, remove the instrument panel compartment latch, remove the instrument panel compartment door latch trim cover from the latch assembly, and position the instrument panel compartment latch fork bolt in the up position. Next insert the key into the instrument panel compartment lock cylinder and rotate the instrument panel compartment lock cylinder clockwise to the 3 o'clock position with the key. After that apply a light load and depress the retainer tumbler through the poke hole at the right-hand side of the instrument panel compartment latch. Finally, remove the instrument panel compartment lock cylinder from the instrument panel compartment latch by pulling the key.
