2010 Cadillac CTS Control Arm

Start with removing the lower control arm bolt from the knuckle, and remove the rear coil spring from the lower control arm. Next, remove the lower control arm retaining nut and mounting bolt. Finally, remove the lower control arm.

First, position the lower control arm in the frame, and install the lower control arm to the frame mounting bolt and nut. Make sure the then the bolt and nut to 165 Nm. Next, install the rear coil spring, and the lower control arm bolt in the knuckle and tighten to 160 Nm.

First, install the front lower control arm mounting bolt and tighten it to 200 Nm. Next, install the rear lower control arm mounting bolt and tighten it to 320 Nm. After that, install the ABS wire harness to the lower control arm, connect the lower ball joint to the steering knuckle, and install the new front lower control arm front nut.

Begin by removing the shock assembly lower retaining bolts, the shock absorber yoke, and the outer tie rod. Next remove the ABS wire harness, the front and rear lower control arm mounting nuts, and support the lower arm control. After that remove the front lower control arm front nut and using the J 43631, separate the lower ball joint. Finally, remove the lower control arm from the vehicle.

The recommended bolt torque is 165 Nm (122 lb. ft.).
