First, you need to clean the friction surfaces of the brake rotor with denatured alcohol if installing a new brake rotor, use the J-42450-A-Wheel Hub Resurfacing Kit to clean any rust or corrosion from the mating surface of the hub/axle flange, and use the J-41013-Rotor Resurfacing Kit to clean any rust or corrosion from the mating surface of the rotor to the hub/axle flange. Then, please install the brake rotor to the wheel hub, and align the rotor to the wheel hub as noted during removal if installing the original brake rotor. Finally, you should install the brake caliper and bracket assembly, install the brake caliper bracket bolts, install the tire and wheel assembly and burnish the brake pads and rotors.

First, you need to remove the tire and wheel assembly and the brake caliper bracket bolts. Then, please remove the brake caliper and bracket assembly and support with heavy mechanics wire or equivalent without disconnecting the brake caliper hose, and mark the relationship of the rotor to the wheel hub if installing the original brake rotor. Finally, you should remove the 2 brake rotor retainers and the brake rotor and discard the brake rotor retainers.

First, you need to use the J-42450-A-Wheel Hub Resurfacing Kit to clean the wheel bearing/hub and use a micrometer to measure the thinnest point of the brake rotor. If the thinnest point of the brake rotor exceeds the brake rotor's minimum thickness, you should not refinish the brake rotor. You should replace the brake rotor. Then, please use the J-41013-Rotor Resurfacing Kit to thoroughly clean the rust from the brake rotor flange and refinish the brake rotor. After machining the rotor, you should use 120-grit aluminum oxide sandpaper and a non-directional rotor finisher to create a non-directional braking surface. Finally, you should clean the braking surfaces with GM P/N 12377981 (Canadian P/N 10953463) or equivalent, brake parts cleaner.

First, you need to select a smooth road with little or no traffic and accelerate the vehicle to 48 km/h (30 mph). Then, please use moderate to firm pressure to apply the brakes to bring the vehicle to a stop. Finally, you should repeat doing so until approximately 20 stops have been completed and allow sufficient cooling periods between stops to properly burnish the brake pads and rotors.
