01/11/2022 Q: What should be noticed when replacing the Weatherstrip Drip Rail Push Pin Retainers?
A:
The part and surface should be 21°C(70°F)before installation. The vehicle should remain at 21°C(70°F) for one hour after assembly to allow the adhesive to develop sufficient bond strength. Then you can use a J25070 heat gun or equivalent to remove the old weatherstrip and clean all adhesive residue from the door opening and wipe the surface dry with a clean lint-free towel before installing the new weatherstrip. When removing protective liners from the adhesive-backed weatherstrip, be careful not to touch the tape with your hands, and do not allow the tape to come in contact with dirt or any foreign matter before adhesion.
