You need to reposition the engine wiring harness sleeve, disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor, clean the area around the CKP sensor before removal to avoid debris from entering the engine, and remove the CKP sensor bolt and the CKP sensor.

Q: What is the Crankshaft Position System Variation Learning procedure?
A:
You need to install a scan tool, monitor the engine control module (ECM) for DTCs with a scan tool, select the crankshaft position (CKP) variation learn procedure with a scan tool, start the engine, enable the CKP system variation learn procedure with a scan tool, quickly apply and release the accelerator pedal and test in progress, and turn OFF the ignition for 30 seconds after the learn procedure is completed successfully.

Q: How do you install the Crankshaft Position Sensor?
A:
You need to install the CKP sensor and the CKP sensor bolt, connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the CKP sensor, position the engine wiring harness sleeve over the CKP sensor electrical connection, lower the vehicle and perform the CKP system variation learn procedure.
