Q: How do you remove the Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud (Mechanical)?
A:
You need to loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamps from the throttle body and the air cleaner outlet duct clamps from the mass airflow sensor and remove the air cleaner outlet duct. If equipped remove the throttle body heater hose retainer from the fan shroud. If equipped remove the inlet radiator hose retainer from the fan shroud. Then you can remove the fan shroud retainers, the fan shroud bolts, and the upper fan shroud.

Q: How do you install the Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud (Mechanical)?
A:
You need to install the upper fan shroud, the fan shroud bolts, and the fan shroud retainers. If equipped install the inlet radiator hose retainer to the fan shroud. If equipped install the throttle body heater hose retainer to the fan shroud. Then you can install the air cleaner outlet duct and tighten the air cleaner outlet duct clamp at the throttle body and the air cleaner outlet duct clamp at the mass airflow sensor.

Q: What should you do before replacing the Cooling Fan and Shroud (HP2)?
A:
You need to remove the radiator air upper baffle and air cleaner resonator outlet duct, reposition the radiator vent hose, remove the radiator surge tank, disconnect the engine coolant fan electrical connectors and engine coolant fan resistor electrical connectors, remove the generator control module coolant pump hose (pump to the radiator), the generator control module coolant outlet hose and the trans cooler line clip from the right side of the shroud.

You need to remove the radiator and disengage the two clips from the radiator. If equipped with an engine oil cooler, remove the oil cooler hose clip from the lower fan shroud, and remove the shroud from the vehicle.
