Q: How do you install the Power Vacuum Brake Booster?
A:
You need to install a new brake booster gasket, the power vacuum brake booster to the vehicle and the brake booster nuts, connect the brake booster pushrod to the brake pedal pivot pin, install the stop lamp switch, the brake booster pushrod retainer, the brake booster pushrod retainer bolt and the vacuum hose to the check valve, connect the electrical connectors to the DOD sensor and the active booster connector and install the master cylinder and the 2 master cylinder nuts.

Q: How do you remove the power brake booster?
A:
You need to apply the parking brake and block the wheels, disconnect the inlet hose, the steering gear, and the return hoses from the booster assembly and remove the master cylinder to hydraulic booster nuts and set the master cylinder aside in the engine compartment, the stop lamp switch, the 4 boosters to bulkhead nuts, the booster assembly and the gasket.

You need to install the gasket, the booster assembly, the 4 booster to bulkhead nuts, the stop lamp switch, and the master cylinder to the brake booster, connect the return hose, the steering gear, and the inlet hoses, bleed the hydraulic booster system and release the park brake and unblock the wheels.

Q: How do you remove the Power Vacuum Brake Booster?
A:
You need to apply the parking brake, deplete the vacuum reserve in the vacuum booster by applying the brake pedal 3 times or until the brake pedal becomes firm, remove the electrical connectors for the DOD sensor and the active booster connector, the vacuum hose from the check valve and the 2 master cylinder nuts, position the master cylinder aside and secure with heavy mechanics wire or equivalent, remove the brake booster pushrod retainer bolt, the brake booster pushrod retainer and the stop lamp switch, disconnect the brake booster pushrod from the brake pedal pivot pin and remove the brake booster nuts and the power vacuum brake booster, and remove and discard the brake booster gasket.
