You need to disconnect the negative battery cable, reposition the positive battery cable insulating cover from over the positive terminal, rotate the lever lock counterclockwise to disconnect the positive battery cable, remove the positive battery cable terminal from the battery, the auxiliary bussed electrical center (BEC) cover and the underhood junction block cover, lift the junction block retainers from the locked position and rotate the retainers to the open position, remove the junction block, the positive battery cable nut from the mega fuse stud and the positive battery cable nut from the auxiliary BEC stud, disconnect the positive battery cable connector from the underhood BEC and remove the positive battery cable assembly from the vehicle.

Q: How do you install the Battery Positive Cable (12V Battery to Auxiliary BEC)?

You need to install the positive battery cable assembly to the vehicle and the positive battery cable leads to the mega fuse and auxiliary BEC studs, connect the positive battery cable connector to the underhood BEC, install the positive battery cable nut to the auxiliary BEC stud and the positive battery cable nut to the mega fuse stud, ensure that the junction block retainers are in the open position, position and align the junction block to the 4 bracket pivots, once the pivots are engaged, push the retainers down into the locked position, install the underhood junction block cover, the auxiliary BEC cover and the positive battery cable terminal to the battery, rotate the lever lock clockwise until an audible click is heard to connect the positive battery cable, position the positive battery cable insulating cover over the positive terminal and connect the negative battery cable.

Q: How do you remove the Battery Positive Cable (Control Module to Auxiliary BEC)?
A:
You need to disable the high voltage system, remove the auxiliary bussed electrical center (BEC) cover, the positive battery cable nut from the mega fuse stud, the positive battery cable lead from the mega fuse stud, the engine shield, and the positive battery cable clips from the frame cross member and lower the vehicle enough to remove the right wheelhouse panel. Working through the wheel opening, you can remove the positive battery cable clip from the brake pipe. Working through the wheel opening, you can remove the positive battery cable clip from the air cleaner adapter bracket. Then you can remove the air cleaner assembly, the positive battery cable clip from the air cleaner support bracket, and the positive battery cable clip from the fender inner panel, disconnect the positive battery cable electrical connector from the drive motor generator control module and remove the positive battery cable from the vehicle.
