2009 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 Ignition Lock Cylinder

You should use a screwdriver to rotate the ignition lock cylinder case gear clockwise to the start position-allowing it to spring return into the RUN position, install the key into the ignition lock cylinder, align the ignition lock cylinder and install it into the ignition lock cylinder case, install the steering column shroud and enable the SIR system.

You should disable the SIR system, remove the steering column shroud, hold it in the START position, install an allen wrench into the hole on top of the ignition lock cylinder case, push down on the allen wrench to release the tab on the ignition lock cylinder inside the ignition lock cylinder case and slide the ignition lock cylinder out of the ignition lock cylinder case.

You should remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil, remove the ignition/start switch, disconnect the park lock cable from the ignition lock cylinder case, disconnect the passlock and key buzzer from the ignition lock cylinder case, remove the 3 ignition lock cylinder case screws and remove the ignition lock cylinder case from the vehicle.

You should install the ignition lock cylinder case to the vehicle, install the 3 ignition lock cylinder case screws, install the park lock cable into the lock cylinder housing, connect the passlock and key buzzer to the ignition lock cylinder case, install the ignition/start switch and install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil.
