You should raise the vehicle, make sure the vehicle is level, inspect the front axle for leaks, clean the area around the front axle fill plug, remove the front axle fill plug, inspect the oil level, add oil until the level is between 0-6 mm (0-0.25 in) for the 9.25-inch axle, install the fill plug and lower the vehicle.

You should install the rear axle drain plug, fill the rear axle with the proper fluid, install the fill plug and remove the support and lower the vehicle.

You should raise the vehicle, clean the area around the rear axle fill plug, remove the rear axle fill plug, remove the rear axle cover and drain the lubricant into a suitable container.

You should install the drain plug, fill the differential carrier assembly with axle lubricant, install the fill plug, install the front differential carrier shield and lower the vehicle.

You should raise the vehicle, make sure the vehicle is level, inspect the rear axle for leaks, clean the area around the rear axle fill plug, remove the rear axle fill plug, inspect the oil level, add oil, install the rear axle plug and lower the vehicle. All axle assemblies are filled by volume of fluid during production. They are not filled to reach a certain level. When checking the fluid level on any axle, variations in the readings can be caused by factory fill differences between the minimum and the maximum fluid volume.
