Q: What should we know about the Crankshaft Position System Variation Learn?
A:
You should install a scan tool, and monitor the engine control module (ECM) for DTCs with a scan tool. If other DTCs are set, except DTC P0315, you should select the crankshaft position (CKP) variation learn procedure with a scan tool, enable the CKP System Variation Learn Procedure with a scan tool, accelerate to WOT, release when the fuel cut-off occurs, test in progress and turn OFF the ignition for 30 seconds after the learn procedure is completed successfully.

Q: How do I remove the Crankshaft Position Sensor?
A:
You should remove the starter. Working through the wheel well opening, you should disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor, clean the area around the CKP sensor before removal to avoid debris from entering the engine, remove the CKP sensor bolt and remove the CKP sensor.
