You should raise and support the vehicle, remove the oil pan skid plate, remove the transmission crossmember, the catalytic converter pipe to the exhaust manifold nuts, loosen the band clamp bolt, remove the catalytic converter pipe from the vehicle and remove the exhaust seals and discard.

You should install new exhaust manifold seals, install the catalytic converter pipe to the exhaust manifolds, install the catalytic converter pipe to exhaust manifold nuts and tighten to 50 Nm(37 lb-ft), install the muffler to catalytic converter nuts and tighten the clamp bolt to 45 Nm(33 lb-ft) and install the transmission cross member. If replacing the three-way catalytic converter Install the heated oxygen (HO2S) sensors otherwise Connect the heated oxygen (HO2S) sensors harness connectors. Then you should install the oil pan skid plate, lower the vehicle and inspect for exhaust leaks.

If replacing the three-way catalytic converter you should remove the heated oxygen (HO2S) sensors otherwise disconnect the heated oxygen (HO2S) sensors harness connectors. Then you should remove the catalytic converter pipe to the exhaust manifold nuts, remove the catalytic converter to muffler nuts, remove the catalytic converter pipe assembly from the vehicle and remove the exhaust seals and discard.

You should install exhaust manifold seals, install the catalytic converter pipe to the exhaust manifolds, install the catalytic converter pipe to exhaust manifold nuts, position the three-way converter to the muffler assembly, install the transmission crossmember, install the oil pan skid plate, lower the vehicle and inspect for exhaust leaks.

To avoid damaging the replacement three-way catalytic converter, you should correct the engine misfire or mechanical fault before replacing the three-way catalytic converter.
