29/10/2022 Q: What should be noticed when replacing Front Brake Caliper (2500 Series)?
A:
You should cap or plug the brake hose to prevent brake fluid leakage and contamination of the brake system, ensure that the washers are not still attached to the brake hose or the brake caliper and can not re-use the washers, discard and replace with new. You can not depress the brake pedal with the brake rotors/calipers and/or the brake drums removed. Damage to the brake system may result. If brake system damage occurs and is not repaired, vehicle damage and/or personal injury or death may result.

29/10/2022 Q: What should be noticed when replacing Rear Brake Caliper Bracket (1500 Series)?
A:
You can not use any air tools to remove or tighten the guide pin bolts. Use hand tools only. You should install an open-end wrench to hold the caliper guide pin in line with the brake caliper while removing or installing the caliper guide pin bolt. You can not allow the open-end wrench to come in contact with the brake caliper. Allowing the open-end wrench to come in contact with the brake caliper will cause a pulsation when the brake is applied.

29/10/2022 Q: What should be cautioned about Front Brake Caliper Overhaul (2500 Series)?
A:
You can not place fingers in front of the caliper piston(s) in an attempt to catch or protect it when applying compressed air. The piston(s) can fly out with force and could result in serious bodily injury. The brake calipers use phenolic pistons that have stainless steel caps that contact the brake pads. Use compressed air to remove the piston from the brake caliper. When applying the clean brake fluid to the piston bores, piston seals, and pistons, only apply the brake fluid to one bore at a time. This is done to ensure that the brake caliper, seals, and pistons DO NOT become contaminated with dirt or other foreign material.
