You should remove the steering gear, the Pitman Arm nut, the washer, and the pitman arm from the pitman arm shaft.

You should remove the engine shield, the steering linkage shock absorber from the relay rod, the steering linkage outer tie rods, the idler arm nut, the pitman arm nut, and the relay rod from the vehicle.

You should use puller J 24319-B to separate the steering linkage outer tie rod from the steering knuckle, inspect the steering linkage inner tie rod for bent or damaged threads, repair or replace the steering linkage inner tie rod as necessary, clean the tapered surface of the steering knuckle, lubricate the steering linkage inner tie rod threads with chassis lubricant and then adjust the front toe.
