Q: What should be done before servicing the Electronic Brake Control Module?
A:
You should turn the ignition switch to the off position, raise and support the vehicle, remove any dirt and debris from the area of the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV)/electronic brake control module (EBCM) assembly and then disconnect the EBCM electrical connector.

Q: How to service the EBCM?
A:
You should disconnect the EBCM electrical connector, pull the EBCM away from the BPMV, remove the EBCM to BPMV gasket and inspect for damage, replace the gasket, align the EBCM and the brake pressure switch to the BPMV and then program the EBCM.
