2009 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Wheel Bearing

The procedure is to raise the vehicle, remove the tire and wheel, remove the rotor, the wheel speed sensor, and brake hose mounting bracket bolt, disconnect the electrical connection, remove the wheel driveshaft nut retaining cover, wrap the shop towel around the inner and outer wheel drive shaft booth, remove the wheel driveshaft assembly retaining nut and washer, remove the wheel hub and bearing mounting bolts, the wheel hub, and bearing and splash shield, the O-ring seal and the wheel speed sensor, clean and inspect the O-ring seal and replace the seal as necessary.

You can clean all corrosion or contaminates from the steering knuckle bore and the hub and bearing assembly, lubricate the steering knuckle bore with wheel bearing grease or the equivalent, install the O-ring, the wheel speed sensor, the wheel hub and bearing and splash shield, the wheel hub and bearing mounting bolts, the nut, and the washer, connect the electrical connection, install the wheel speed sensor and brake hose mounting bracket bolt, install the rotor, install the tire and wheel and lower the vehicle.
