2009 Chevrolet Equinox Exhaust Pipe

First, install one Exhaust Manifold bolt to the exhaust manifold. Install the new exhaust manifold gasket onto the cylinder head bolt and install the exhaust manifold to the catalytic converter. Next, install the remaining exhaust manifold bolts and tighten them to 20 nm. After that install the catalytic converter to the exhaust manifold nuts and tighten it to 50 Nm. Install the oil level indicator and install the exhaust manifold heat shield.

Install the Muffler assembly to the vehicle and the exhaust flexible pipe. Next, install the pipe hangers to the rubber insulators. After that tighten the exhaust muffler clamps and tighten them to 5 Nm.

Make sure to position the rear exhaust manifold heat shield to the engine and install the bolts. Tighten the bolts to 50 Nm and lower the vehicle.
