2009 Cadillac XLR Exhaust Pipe

First, apply a 5 mm wide band thread lock to the threads of the Exhaust Manifold bolt and studs. Place the exhaust manifold and a new gasket into place. Next, install the exhaust manifold bolts/nuts and tighten them to 25 Nm. Install the exhaust manifold catalytic converter hanger bolt to the bell housing and tighten it to 50 Nm. Next, install the left exhaust manifold heat shield/bolts and tighten them to 10 Nm. Next, install the oxygen sensors and tighten them to 42 Nm and install the CPA locks. Finally, install the powertrain.

Remove the Muffler band clamp from the intermediate exhaust pipe and install a new muffler band clamp on the intermediate exhaust pipe. Next, install the left muffler and slide the muffler into the hanger. Place the new muffler band clamp on the intermediate exhaust pipe and tighten the right side exhaust muffler clamp to 44 Nm.
