A:
The procedure is to unlock the transmission control module (TCM) electrical connector, disconnect the electrical connector from the TCM and remove the TCM from the mounting bracket.

Q: How do you install the transmission control module?
A:
You can align the TCM with the locating pins on the module mounting bracket, install the TCM, connect the TCM electrical connector to the TCM, lock the TCM electrical connector securely to the TCM, program the replacement TCM with the proper software/calibrations and reset the TAP values.

Q: How do you replace the control solenoid valve and transmission control module assembly?
A:
You can remove the transmission oil pan and filter, the electrical connector passage sleeve, the valve body bolts, and the upper and lower control valve body assembly disconnect the speed sensor electrical connector, turn the control valve body assembly over, disconnect the manual shift shaft position switch connector and remove the bolt, the manual shift shaft position switch assembly, the 2 bolts from the °heat sink° side of the control solenoid valve assembly, the 5 bolts and the 4 bolts securing the control solenoid valve assembly to the control valve body assembly, the control valve body assembly and the filter plate assembly.
