Q: How do you replace the steering knuckle?
A:
You can raise the vehicle, remove the tire and wheel, remove the wheel bearing/hub, remove the outer tie rod to the steering knuckle retaining nut, disconnect the tie rod from the steering knuckle, remove the brake hose bracket to the steering knuckle retaining bolts, remove the upper control arm ball stud to steering knuckle retaining nut, separate the upper control arm ball stud from the steering knuckle, remove the lower control arm ball stud to steering knuckle retaining nut, separate the lower control arm ball stud from the steering knuckle and remove the steering knuckle.

You can use J 43631.

Q: What is the proper way to install the steering knuckle?
A:
You can install the steering knuckle, install a new lower control arm ball stud retaining nut, install the upper control arm ball stud to the steering knuckle, install a new upper control arm ball stud retaining nut, install the brake hose bracket to the steering knuckle retaining bolts, connect the outer tie rod to the steering knuckle, install the outer tie rod retaining nut, install the wheel bearing/hub, install the tire and wheel and lower the vehicle.

Q: What is the recommended torque when you install the wheel bearing/hub mounting bolts?
A:
You can tighten the bolts to 125 Nm (92 lb-ft).
