Q: How do you replace the Power Steering Gear Solenoid/Actuator?
A:
You can remove the left front tire and wheel assembly, remove the front air deflector, place drain pans under the vehicle, disconnect the power steering gear solenoid/actuator wiring harness electrical connectors, remove the harness from the 2 plastic retainers, loosen the power steering gear solenoid/actuator from the steering gear and remove the power steering gear solenoid/actuator.

You can tighten the bolt to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).

Q: What is the proper way to install the Power Steering Gear Solenoid/Actuator?
A:
You can ensure the power steering gear solenoid/actuator has 2 O-ring seals visible beneath the hex, install the power steering gear solenoid/actuator to the steering gear, connect the power steering gear solenoid/actuator wiring harness, connect the power steering gear solenoid/actuator wiring harness electrical connectors, secure the harness in the 2 plastic retainers, clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle, remove the drain pans, install the front air deflector, install the left front tire and wheel assembly and fill and bleed the power steering system.
