The procedure is to raise the vehicle, remove the propeller shaft heat shield, remove the propeller shaft CV joint-to-differential flange bolts, install a flat-bladed tool into the notch on the differential flange, move the propeller shaft toward the rear of the vehicle, remove the propeller shaft CV joint-to-transfer case flange bolts, install a flat-bladed tool into the notch on the transfer case flange, move the propeller shaft toward the front of the vehicle, remove the propeller shaft, inspect the propeller shaft and replace the front propeller shaft if necessary.
