2009 Cadillac SRX Door Latch Assembly

You can raise the window to the full up position, remove the door trim panel and the water deflector, disconnect the lock cylinder rod, disconnect the outside door handle rod, remove the lock knob rod, the inside handle rod, the door latch screws and the door latch, lift the electrical connector lock, disconnect the electrical connector and remove the handle rod and lock rod.

The procedure is to remove the door trim panel, the inside door handle, and the water deflector, disconnect the outside door handle rod, disengage the inside handle rod, push the inside lock rod grommet through the opening, remove the door latch screws, remove the door latch with the inside door handle rod and lock rod attached, disconnect the electrical connector and remove the handle rod and lock rod.

You can install the inside door handle rod and lock rod, install the electrical connector, the door latch, the lock cylinder rod, the door latch screws and the outside door handle rod, close the clip, install the lock knob rod, install the inside handle rod, inspect for the proper operation of the door handles, lock cylinder and door latch, install the water deflector and install the door trim panel.

You can install the inside door handle rod and lock rod, connect the electrical connector, install the door latch and the door latch screws, connect the outside door handle rod to the door latch, inspect for proper operation of the outside door handle, install the inside handle rod, install the water deflector, install the inside door handle and install the door trim panel.
