The procedure is to remove the wheel drive shaft from the vehicle, position the wheel drive shaft bar in a soft jawed vise and clamp securely, remove the boot retaining clamp from the boot for the tripot housing, remove the boot clamp from the boot for the wheel drive shaft, remove the tripod housing from the wheel drive shaft, remove the retaining clip and the tripot spider from the wheel drive shaft, remove the boot from the wheel drive shaft and inspect the wheel drive shaft inner joint for damage and excessive wear.

You can position a wood block over the end of the outer joint threaded shaft, use a hammer to drive the outer joint onto the shaft, and continue to drive the outer joint until the outer joint seats fully onto the axle shaft.

You can position the boot and the clamp on the wheel drive shaft, ensure that the boot is properly seated in the grooved wheel drive shaft, install the tripot spider assembly to the wheel drive shaft, install the retaining ring in the wheel drive shaft, close the boot clamp until the gap measures 1.0 mm (0.040 in), place approximately half of the lubricant in the boot and the remaining lubricant in the tripot housing, install the tripod housing on the wheel drive shaft, install the boot clamp on the boot for the tripot housing, install the boot clamp on the boot for the wheel drive, close the and lock boot clamp, remove any excess lubricant from the wheel drive shaft, move the tripot housing assembly in a manner and install the wheel drive shaft in the vehicle.

You can use a side cutter or other suitable tool.
