A:
Install the new boot clamp onto the rack and pinion boot. Next, install the rack and pinion boot onto the inner tie rod assembly. Install the rack and pinion boot onto the head assembly and the tie rod end clamp onto the rack/pinion boot. Install the hexagon jam nut to the inner tie rod assembly.

01/11/2022Q: What is the rock and pinion inner tie rod installation procedure?
A:
First, slide the shock dampener forward onto the rack and attach the inner tie rod onto the rack. Next place a pipe wrench on the rack next to the inner tie rod housing and place a torque wrench on the flats of the inner tie rod housing. Make sure to tighten the inner tie rod to 100 Nm and slide the shock dampener forward onto the rack.
