No, to fully drain the trans-axle of all the fluid you must remove the pan, and inside you will find a drain plug.

The pan bolts need to be torqued in 3 sequences at the following specs 1st-3 Nm (27lb) 2nd-6 Nm (53lb) 3rd-12Nm (106lb).

To remove the seal you may use a small screwdriver to pry the seals from the case, do this with care so you do not damage the case.
