Q: What is the connecting rod bearing removal procedure?
A:
First, remove the oil pan, the spark plugs from the cylinders, the connecting rod cap bolts, the connecting rod cap, and the lower connecting rod bearing. Next, remove the lower connecting rod bearing from the connecting rod cap, and install the J 41507. Q: What is the connecting rod bearing installation procedure?
A:
First, dip the connecting rod cap bolts in clean engine oil. Always use clean engine oil to lubricate the bearing surface. Next, install the upper connecting rod bearing, and use the J 41507 to pull down the piston. After that install the lower connecting rod bearing to the connecting rod cap. Install the connecting rod cap bolts, and make sure to tighten the bolts to 27 Nm. Next install the spark plugs to the cylinders, and the oil pan, and inspect for leaks.
