01/11/2022Q: How do you adjust a liftgate latch?
A:
You can remove the upper and lower interior trim panels, loosen the set screws on the latch housing, slide the latch forward approximately 2.0 mm (0.08 in), retighten the screws, evaluate the glass closing efforts to ensure proper position of the latch after adjustment by opening and closing the glass at least three times, readjust the latch if the closing efforts are too high and reinstall the interior trim panels.
