Q: How do you install the Auxiliary Heater Inlet and Outlet Hose Connector Retainer and Seal?
A:
You can lubricate O-rings with coolant, install the first O-ring, gently push down into the O-ring pocket, install the mid-spacer, gently push down to the first O-ring, install the second O-ring, gently push down to the top of the mid-spacer, install the retainer clip, clean and inspect the pipe end for any nicks, scratches or cracks, install the fitting to the vehicle and fill the cooling system.

Q: How do you remove the Auxiliary Heater Inlet and Outlet Hose Connector Retainer and Seal?
A:
You can drain the cooling system, remove any loose dirt or debris before removing the quick connect fitting from the vehicle, remove the fitting, remove the retainer, place a flat-blade tool through the window of the quick connect fitting, remove the outer bushing with a gentle prying motion, discard the outer bushing, remove other components and remove any dirt or debris using water and a lint-free cloth.

You can drain the cooling system, remove the air intake tube, remove the heater and surge tank hoses from the mounting clip, squeeze the plastic retainer release tabs, pull the connection apart, remove the inlet heater hose from the water pump and remove the inlet heater hose.

Q: How do you remove the Heater Outlet Hose?
A:
You can drain the cooling system, remove the air intake tube, remove the heater and surge tank hoses from the mounting clip, squeeze the plastic retainer release tabs, pull the connection apart, remove the outlet heater hose from the water pump, reposition the outlet heater hose clamp at the surge tank, remove the outlet heater hose from the surge tank and remove the outlet heater hose.

Q: What should you do when you repair the Auxiliary Heater and Air Conditioning Pipe?
A:
You should ensure that the correct minimum length remains in the straight part of the line on both sides of the splice. you should follow the Straight Line Repair procedure to repair line damage in a straight section of the line and follow the Line Sectioning Repair procedure to repair any damage in a bend area. you should not repair the rear A/C or heater lines in a bend area and you should replace the lines because maintaining the original line shape will prevent vibrations and rub-through.

You can drain the cooling system, squeeze the plastic retainer tabs, pull the connection apart, pull the connection apart, remove the auxiliary heater pipes from the heater inlet and outlet tees at the HVAC module, remove the vehicle right assist step, remove both of the right tires, remove the auxiliary heater pipes, remove the heater/A/C tubes retaining nut and remove the auxiliary heater pipes.
