You should remove the clamp, the tripot housing, the spider assembly, and the tripot boot. Then, you should clean the half-shaft bar. Next, you should inspect the tripot housing for unusual wear, cracks, or other damage. In addition, you should use the appropriate kit to replace any damaged parts.

You should place the half-shaft in a vise, compress the seal on the half-shaft, remove the inner race, and then lift out the cage and the inner race. Next, you should check the outer CV joint assembly for unusual wear, cracks, or other damage. Finally, you should clean the half-shaft bar.

The recommended torque is 176 N.m (130 lb-ft).

You should tighten each bolt 180 degrees at a time, using a ratchet wrench.
