A:
The installation procedure is to install the intermediate shaft lower seal over the intermediate shaft and to the steering gear, install the intermediate shaft upper seal over the lower seal and to the instrument panel, connect the intermediate shaft to the steering column, install the intermediate shaft seal to the steering column and install the intermediate shaft seal bolts then tighten them to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

A:
The removal procedure is to turn the ignition OFF and remove the key from the ignition lock cylinder to lock the steering column, remove the intermediate shaft seal from the steering column, disconnect the intermediate shaft from the steering column, push the intermediate shaft down to collapse the intermediate shaft, remove the intermediate shaft seal bolts and the intermediate shaft seal.
