A:
The proper way is to siphon the power steering fluid from the fluid reservoir, disconnect the return line pipe from the outlet connection at the steering gear, disconnect the fluid reservoir hose from the fluid reservoir, and then remove the fluid reservoir hose.

The proper way is to connect the fluid reservoir hose to the fluid reservoir, connect the fluid reservoir pipe to the outlet connection at the steering gear, fill the fluid reservoir with power steering fluid, and then inspect for leaks.

Q: How to remove the power steering pump hoses and pipes?
A:
The proper way is to remove the air cleaner housing, disconnect the pressure line and return line hoses from the retaining clips at the bottom and the side of the radiator, disconnect the pressure line inlet pipe from the steering gear, disconnect the supply line hose from the power steering fluid reservoir, and then remove the power steering pump pressure line and return line.
