Q: How do I install the valve rocker arm?
A:
Start with greasing the rocker arms and pushrods with clean engine oil as well as the flange of the rocker arm bolts. Next, install the rocker arm pivot support and pushrods. Install the rocker arms and bolts. Rotate the crankshaft until the number one piston is at top dead center of the compression stroke. With the engine in the number one firing position Tighten cylinders 1, 2, 7, and 8 exhaust valve rocker arm bolts to 30 NM (22 lb. ft.) as well as cylinders 1, 3, 4, and 5. Install the number one cylinder spark plug and lastly the rocker arm cover.

Q: How do I remove the valve rocker arm?
A:
Start with removing the valve rocker arm and the number one cylinder spark plug. Remove the rocker arms by removing the bolts attaching them to the vehicle. Then remove the rocker arm pivot support and the pushrods. Clean and inspect the parts.
