Q: How to assemble the Power Steering Pump Pulley (RPO LC3-8 Cyl, 4.4L, SC, DOHC)?
A:
You should pull the Power Steering Pump pulley off of the splined shaft, apply a special purpose grease to the splined shaft of the power steering pump, apply grease GM P/N 1051344 (Canadian P/N 993037) to the splines on the power steering pump shaft and ensure the axial tolerance of the pulley on the power pump shaft is within 0.25 mm (0.010 in).
