2008 Cadillac STS Shift Knob

The procedure is to disable the SIR system, remove the front carpet retainers, remove the rear carpet retainers, carefully pull outward at the bottom of the pillar trim, pull outward on the upper portion of the pillar trim, slide the pillar trim inward and downward to release the top locking tab from between the sheet metal and the headliner, remove the center pillar trim, replace the retainer clips if broken or damaged.

The procedure is to remove the right rear compartment trim, remove the nuts securing the theft deterrent alarm to the vehicle body, disconnect the electrical connector from the alarm, and remove the alarm from the vehicle.

The procedure is to remove the center console, remove the front HVAC duct, remove the screws securing the side impact brace, remove the screws securing the center HVAC duct, remove the screws securing the cupholder to the console, remove the screws securing the cupholder to the top of the console.
