2008 Cadillac SRX Exhaust Manifold

You should remove the exhaust manifold heat shield, the oil level indicator, the exhaust manifold bolts and the exhaust manifold and discard the exhaust manifold gasket, and clean and inspect the exhaust manifold.

You should inspect the catalytic converter seal/heat shield sealing surface, replace the seal/heat shield if the sealing surface is worn or damaged and install the catalytic converter seal/heat shield to the catalytic converter, a new exhaust manifold gasket to the exhaust manifold, the exhaust manifold with the gasket to the catalytic converter and the cylinder head, the exhaust manifold bolts, the catalytic converter nuts, the oil level indicator, and the exhaust manifold heat shield.

You should remove the air cleaner housing assembly and the nut securing the air conditioning (A/C) lines to the left-hand shock tower, position the lines aside, remove the front upper heat shield bolt, disconnect the master cylinder electrical connector, remove the master cylinder mounting nuts, position the master cylinder towards the engine, remove the rear upper heat shield bolt, disconnect both Bank 2 heated oxygen sensor pigtail connectors from the wiring harness connector, remove the power steering gear, the lower intermediate steering shaft, the exhaust system, the bank 2, sensor 1 heated oxygen sensor, the remaining exhaust manifold heat shield bolt and remove the shield, the left exhaust manifold bolts and nuts, the exhaust manifold studs and the left exhaust manifold and gasket from the engine and clean and inspect the left exhaust manifold.

You should remove the exhaust manifold heat shield, the catalytic converter nuts, the exhaust manifold bolts and the exhaust manifold and discard the exhaust manifold gasket, and clean and inspect the exhaust manifold.

You should remove the generator bolts, the generator assembly, and the exhaust system, disconnect the bank 1, sensor 1 heated oxygen sensor pigtail from the wiring harness connector, remove the right outer tie rod end from the steering knuckle, the bolts securing the engine wiring harness bracket to the right cylinder head and the right exhaust manifold heat shield bolts, reposition the shield forward in the vehicle in the area where the generator mounts, remove the right exhaust manifold bolts and nuts, the exhaust manifold studs, the right exhaust manifold and the gasket from the engine, the exhaust manifold heat shield from the vehicle and the heated oxygen sensor and clean and inspect the right exhaust manifold.
