2008 Cadillac SRX Cooling Fan Motor

To avoid being burned, you should not remove the Radiator Cap or surge tank cap while the engine is hot and the cooling system will release scalding fluid and steam under pressure if the radiator cap or surge tank cap is removed while the engine and radiator are still hot.

You should drain the cooling system, remove the generator drive belt, use the EN 46104 to retain the Water Pump pulley, remove the water pump pulley bolts, the water pump pulley, the water pump bolts, the water pump, and the water pump seal and carefully clean the water pump sealing surfaces.

You should drain the coolant, remove the electric cooling fan assembly, raise and support the vehicle, remove the lower condenser mounting bolts, the upper condenser mounting bolts, and the transmission oil cooler mounting bolts, disconnect the side air baffle lower retainer pins from the Radiator, lower the vehicle, remove the radiator support bracket bolts, the radiator support brackets and the radiator/condenser upper support, disconnect the surge tank inlet hose from the radiator using the J 38185 and reposition aside, disengage tension on the radiator inlet hose clamp, disconnect from the radiator, disengage tension on the radiator outlet hose clamp, disconnect from the radiator and the side air baffle upper retainer pins from the radiator and remove the radiator.
