Q: How to remove the Case Extension and Gasket?
A:
If equipped with 2-wheel drive (2WD), you should remove the drive flange and seal, then place a suitable jack under the transmission pan to support the transmission, and remove the transmission support. If equipped with an all-wheel drive (AWD), you should remove the transfer case. Then, you should place a drain pan under the extension housing, remove the extension housing bolts and the extension housing and seal and remove the seal from the extension housing if equipped with AWD.
