2008 Cadillac Escalade ESV Oil Filter

The recommended torque is 25 N.m (18 lb-ft).

You can open the hood, remove the oil fill cap, place an oil drain pan under the oil pan drain plug, remove the oil pan drain plug, wipe any remaining oil from the drain plug hole and reinstall the oil pan drain plug until snug, position the drain pan under the oil filter, remove the oil filter.

The recommended torque is 30 N.m (22 lb-ft).

You can apply clean engine oil to the NEW oil filter seal, install the NEW oil filter, remove the oil drain pan from under the vehicle, fill the engine with new engine oil, turn off the engine and allow the oil a few minutes to drain back into the oil pan, remove the oil level indicator from the indicator tube, install the oil level indicator into the oil level indicator tube until the oil level indicator handle contacts the top of the oil level indicator tube.
