Q: What should I notice in Engine Control Module Replacement?
A:
Turn the ignition OFF when installing or removing the control module connectors and disconnecting or reconnecting the power to the control module (battery cable, powertrain control module (PCM)/Engine Control Module (ECM)/transaxle control module (TCM) pigtail, control module fuse, jumper cables, etc.) to prevent internal control module damage. Control module damage may result when the metal case contacts the battery voltage. DO NOT contact the control module metal case with battery voltage when servicing a control module, using battery booster cables, or when charging the vehicle battery.
Q: How to install the Ignition Coil?
A:
You can install the intake manifold sight shield, the spark plug wire, the Ignition Coil bolts, and the ignition coil from the bracket.
Q: How to remove the Ignition Lock Cylinder?
A:
You can disable the SIR system, remove the knee bolster, the steering column shroud, and an Allen wrench into the hole on top of the Ignition Lock Cylinder case, push down on the Allen wrench to release the tab on the ignition lock cylinder inside the ignition lock cylinder case, slide the ignition lock cylinder out of the ignition lock cylinder case.
